These organisations play a key role in providing early to mid-career
film and multimedia makers across Australia with affordable access
to production equipment and advice, subsidy programs, professional
development and accredited training, exhibition and a range of special
projects.
SDA is committed to:

developing
a greater number of highly skilled film, video and new media
makers; |

actively
engaging with the production, economic and aesthetic issues
facing the industry; |

the
development of complementary and diverse pathways into the industry;

increased
audiences for Australian films and new media works; and |

ensuring
access and equity in program delivery. |
SDA will enter into a range of partnerships in order to maximise
the production resources available in the member organisations,
to share financial responsibility for program delivery within an
environment of tight constraints, and to deliver both national and
state-based outcomes.
Most importantly, SDA will continue to ensure that a "many doors''
approach is maintained in relation to the development of industry
practitioners.
